About Us

Your hosts Meryl and Mark Dewolfreys welcome you to our family run guest house, where we have been trading for the past ten years. Open throughout the year, we cater for the mature single person, couples and families. Whether you are visiting Newquay on business, for a family half-term holiday, a weekend break, or to explore the beauty of Cornwall, Dewolf Guest House endeavour to give you a warm and friendly welcome and to help make your stay an enjoyable experience.
We are situated on one of the main approach roads into Newquay, and have ample free forecourt car parking available to our guests. We are within easy reach of the town centre and local beaches (e.g. Porth beach being only 10 minutes gentle walk). Our ideal location means quick access to Newquay's major surfing beaches and town centre and provides easy access to tour and explore Cornwall. All amenities including the shopping centres, bus and railway station are only a short distance away. Local Bars and Restaurants are in immediate vicinity of the guest house and for those who enjoy the nightlife, only a short walk towards town you will discover Newquay's wine bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs.

From our surname - "Dewolfreys" we named the guest house "Dewolf". We have a large collection of wolf statues and pictures in the front window, lounge and hall which have been a great attraction to people just passing by, with the dining room having an ancient Eygyptian theme.

Meryl has many years experience working with the elderly as a carer and working with the Blind.

Mark was a graphic designer by trade and has many pen and ink illustrations on display in the guest house.

We constantly strive to adapt our services to fit the needs of our clientele. We are noted for our window displays at Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

We have also introduced Mobility One National Accessible Standard Ratings into some of our ground floor bedrooms and have been awarded a 4 star AA rating.
We have also won the "RAC "Warm Welcome" award.
We have added Internet Access points in the Dining Room and are also licensed to sell alcoholic beverages.

We hold current Public Liability Insurance, and Fire Risk Assessments are in place, First Aid Certificates and Food Hygiene Certificates.

Please be aware we now have a Siberian Husky,
called 'Mishka'. Kane, sadly passed away 6th Oct 2010.
Sadly we can no longer allow small dogs to stay.
